Yawnz. Woke up earlier than usual this morning, met zw, mz and vin to go for tim sum buffet at upper jurong road (opposite Safti Military Institute). Had the
tim sum buffet @ Tung Lok Seafood Restaurant,
$18.80++ per pax. Shiong ah. Amounting to
25bucks in the end. But we actually ate quite alot. Hahaha. Ordered and ordered from 11am to 2pm.
We started at ard 11+, ordered the main dishes (of tim sums) until 1pm, the staffs there abit shocked i think, cos see us so fierce at eating as we ordered and ordered. Then ard 1pm, we ordered deserts. Can see that the senior supervisor there was like quite relieved and such and cleared the plates and utensils for us. Tried their homemade beancurd, honey dew with sago, vanilla ice cream, sesame tang yuan with peanuts crump. Then 1++pm, we started ordering some of the main dishes again, then she like quite stunned (must be thinking that "wah, still can eat ah. if all customers all that, our books will be in red!"). Hahaha! But we only ordered a few more main dishes then we foot the bill and went off.
And the thing is that, the senior supervisor kinda hint us which dishes is not very nice. Cos when i wanted to order something from the menu (sesame tang yuan with peanut crump in this instant), then she will ask how many shares of the dishes we wanted and i will ask for the size for the quantity of 1 person's share which she will reply something like, "erm, why not like order 4 tang yuan, 1 for each of u all, to try it out first lah", something which i agreed and found out that, luckily nvr ordered much as the sesame filling was minimum and the tang yuan flour was thick. Another instant was with a scrimp dumpling in dunno wat soup and as we were undecided on the quantity to order, cos we not knowing the size of the serving, she suggested that we take 2 bowls and try first, which also resulted in not being fantastic. The dumpling "skin" was something like "mi hun kway aka mian fen guo" to me, thick skin. Hahaha!
Food to recommend there that we've tried,
酥皮蛋挞仔 aka Mini Egg Tart (can practically see the egg fillings wobble when u shake the tart!),
鲜虾腐皮卷 aka Pan Fried Beancurd Skin Rolls with Shrimps,
烧味拼盘 aka Roast Meat Platter (the char siew soft sia~),
日式牛柳烧 aka Pan-Grilled Miso marinated Beef Tenderloin (the beef tenderloin is QQ de lor!), 沙律明虾角 aka Deep Fried Prawn Dumplings served with Salad Dressing (so crispy that i tht i was eating curry puff's skin!), 蜜瓜西米露 aka Chilled Sago Cream with Honey Dew (its not really honey dew, its rock melon actually but wery nice!), 自制香滑豆腐花 aka Home Made Silky Soya Bean Curd (wery smooth, nearly slipped down to my throat b4 i can exercise my tongue!).
